Same Same Yarra Valley Pinot Meunier/Pinot Noir 2019 — case of 6
Despite the name, this is a pinot with a difference. Tastier and with more punch than a lot of lolly-water pinots, it has heaps of fruit but is smooth and soft at the finish.
A great wine from De Bortoli’s Yarra Valley vineyards: the Pinot Meunier is from Hoddles Creek and the Pinot Noir is from De Bortoli’s A6 vineyard at Dixons Creek.
James Halliday reckons that it is “full of interest for wine nerds”, but we think it will interest anyone who likes red wine!
Drink it with duck or beef bourguignon — a summer wine that’s perfect for winter.
